In a reality that is difficult to fathom, the billion-dollar abortion industry has set aside March 10 as a holiday to celebrate people who make a living by killing children.
It’s known as Abortion Providers Appreciation Day, and abortion advocacy groups celebrated all day on social media with the hashtag “#CelebrateAbortionProviders.”
On Wednesday, Planned Parenthood, which aborted more than 354,000 unborn babies last year, hailed abortionists as heroes who “work to care for patients with compassion every day.”
“Abortion providers give every patient what they deserve: accurate information about all of their options so they can make their own, fully informed health care decisions. No coercion. No shame. No judgement [sic],” the abortion chain wrote on Twitter.
Many former Planned Parenthood patients — and some former employees, too — say otherwise: Abortions, not options or “choice,” are at the center of Planned Parenthood’s work.
NARAL, an abortion advocacy group whose founder later became pro-life and exposed the lies of the pro-abortion movement, also highlighted Abortion Providers Appreciation Day on Twitter.
“Throughout the pandemic, abortion providers have consistently shown up when they were needed. Despite medically unnecessary restrictions and senseless obstacles, they’ve maintained a kind, compassionate, professional standard of care,” NARAL group wrote.
The group Advocates for Youth issued an even more flowery statement, saying abortionists “deserve all the love, all the roses and all of the praise EVERY DAY. We sincerely thank you.”

Between the praise and flattery, some abortion activists also mentioned “anti-abortion violence” against abortionists – even though pro-life advocates are overwhelmingly peaceful and non-violent. These abortion activists also failed to recognize the massive violence against thousands of unborn babies that abortionists commit every single day in the U.S.
The purposed of every abortion is to destroy a unique, irreplaceable human being’s life. Science proves that human life begins at conception, and even some abortionists admit that they are “killing” babies. Together, abortionists kill nearly 1 million unborn babies annually in the U.S.
Abortions are not medically necessary or essential either. Thousands of doctors confirmed this in 2020 when abortion facilities demanded to be allowed to stay open during the initial coronavirus shutdowns. Medical groups, representing more than 30,000 doctors in America, issued a statement saying abortions are not “essential” or “urgent,” and abortion facilities that continued to operate during the pandemic were being “medically irresponsible.”
Common abortion complications include infections, blood clots, hemorrhaging and an incomplete abortion. Abortion risks include future preterm births, breast cancer, suicide, anxiety/depression, and death. And it is not true that abortions are safer than childbirth. Psychologically, abortions hurt many mothers and fathers, grandparents and siblings, friends and acquaintances as well. And they have a ripple effect on the entire culture, with more than 62 million people missing to abortion in the past 48 years.
Abortion and those who make a living doing it should be mourned for and lamented, not celebrated. The abortion industry is full of deceived people who are deceiving other people – primarily low-income women, victims of abuse, vulnerable young girls and mothers in crisis – by telling them that they need to kill their own children to succeed.
